Someone got into my Robinhood account, sold about 25k worth of my stocks, and is actively transferring the money into their bank account 'Aspiration.' Once talking to customer service, they locked the account. That's fine, but all the transfers they initiated at 5k each are still going through while they review the account.

I even called Aspiration, and they are willing to freeze the funds if I knew the full account number, which Robinhood won't give me. Not to mention, once the account is locked, there is no way to talk to anyone again for a follow-up.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. The reason I could not reach a real support agent was because they (AI system) had me on hold from my last week's interactions.

Therefore whenever I contacted them, the AI never connect me to a live person chat, because it still see me waiting on cue to connect. It gave me an option to end that connection.

Then, I was able to connect and find out that the refund was done automatically without sending a receipt that explained it. Overall, I am satisfy with the outcome.

I accidentally sent money to my Robin Hood account and I want to get it back. I can see the receipt that shows the transfer has been completed under HISTORY.

I have contacted Robin Hood online using their support chat for three days now. They are giving me the run around, repeatedly asking if I want to chat with an agent. I just want to get my money back.

What is this? This makes no sense!

There is a technical bug or glitch error with my Robinhood account. I haven't found any restriction on my account; however, I can't log into my account with the correct email and password.

I have a balance in my account and they can't just rip me off like that. There is no real customer service.

I had emailed them and haven't received any single human response, besides a bot. When I try to log into my account, it keeps showing this statement.

Robinhood has over 600 dollars of my money. My account has been frozen for over a week with no help or reasons why my account is frozen.

*** I want and need my money like yesterday. I'd never recommend the company to anyone. Thanks for nothing when it comes to their automated service system. You cannot talk to a human to get answers.

Beware of Robinhood people! Stay away at all cost. *** this company! If I have anything else to say, it's that In a week I should be able to get answers about why my account is frozen.

Then sending me an email saying my case is closed and that it.

Unbelievable how they can just rip us off like this. They've been telling me for a week to check back tomorrow or I'm in line for the next call for a week!

My account was restricted on Jan 3, 2025. I submitted said documents for review several times.

On Jan 3, 2025 & Jan 12, 2025 and a few other times. Have sent numerous emails to Robinhood support to no avail. They have not reached out to me to remedy the problem.

I strongly believe this is a total disregard for customer rights, being I cant withdraw my monies or access my account. Their lackadaisical effort in trying to contact me/fix the problem is insane.

They freeze account and steal your money

(Editing to say, the amount they are stealing is approximately $62 thousand dollars. The amount listed here always switches to 62 dollars for some reason)

Like many others, I am a victim of Robinhood online brokerage.

Robinhood has a dirty habit of claiming irregularities in clients accounts, freezing, then stealing all the $$$, and closing the account. There is absolutely no way to contact any living person at Robinhood. You must leave your phone number and a description of the issue and they put you online for a return phone call that never comes. Sometimes you dont even have a chance to describe the situation.

You just have to request a phone call or stay in line. The exception, I did receive a call five days after my initial request. We spent over 20 minutes on the phone verifying all my transactions. I was told to check my email and follow the instructions to unfreeze my account.

I did so, and the link took me back to the same place to request a phone call. I did so, again, and its been nearly 3 weeks without a phone call. (I received an additional email within minutes of that one, claiming that there were irregularities in my account, and I had to take action. Again following their links, I took action.

The action again was to request a phone call. Again, I was told to stay in line or Id lose my place.)

A couple of times the Robinhood app requested selfies of me, which I provided and still my account remained frozen.

Today, again, I have requested a phone call. I do not expect to receive one. I am lodging a complaint today with the CFPB.

After that, I will lodge complaints with every other financial regulatory institution that applies in this situation. Avoid Robinhood online brokerage at all costs. If you currently are with Robinhood get out ASAP! Robinhood has lost lawsuits for violating regulations, and are in constant litigation because they will not stop violating regulations and laws.

Robinhood is a business that is shady beyond all belief. Be sure to tell everyone about Robinhood and to beware of them.

Also, I was with Robinhood for several years before this happened, so never assume that Robinhood is ok just because you havent been taken yet. Avoid Robinhood like the plague!

User's recommendation: Don’t use robinhood. One day you could buy stocks, the next you can’t sell because they restricted your account. I the biggest part of it is that, after your account is restricted, you can’t not get in contact with them. The app contact support doesn’t work, I try to chat with the bot and I can’t type messages. Also, I can’t contact them because first I need to speak with the bot. Make it make sense.

You charged me 4.99 dollars for an order for Robinhood Gold. I never signed up for Robinhood Gold, and when I looked at my order history, this was purchased today at 12 am. I was fully asleep and live alone. Therefore, this is not an error on my part.

Robinhood Withdrawal Issues: SMS and Callback Services Not Working Abroad.

Yesterday, I attempted to withdraw $200 from my Robinhood account to transfer to my personal bank account. As always, I waited for the SMS verification code but never received it.

I retried several times, thinking it was a temporary issue, but eventually gave up. The next day, while at my office, I attempted the process again, but I still did not receive the code. Out of frustration, I abandoned the withdrawal process and instead reinvested the funds in stocks. Currently, I have about $4 left in my account.

As a test, I tried withdrawing this small amount, but the SMS code still did not arrive. I sought assistance through the Robinhood chat function, but it was limited to SMS-based help. Since the code never arrived, I followed the instructions to schedule a callback instead. I scheduled the call for 8:30 AM Korean Standard Time on November 25, 2024.

However, I have now been waiting for over 20 minutes, with no call from Robinhood and still no SMS verification code. Key Details of My Situation: I am currently stationed in South Korea as part of the U.S. Army. Due to app restrictions in South Korea, I can only access Robinhood via my computer.

Downloading the app on my phone is not an option here. My registered phone number is correct. To ensure this, I updated it again yesterday with the exact same number, yet I am still not receiving any SMS messages from Robinhood. Last year, while also stationed in South Korea, I had no issues withdrawing funds or receiving SMS codes to the same phone number.

Questions and Complaints: Is there an alternative way to receive the verification code, such as via email? If not, why is this not an available option for international users? Why am I no longer receiving SMS codes despite having a verified and previously functional phone number? Why hasn't Robinhood's callback service responded as promised?

What specific steps can I take to resolve this issue quickly, given that my access is restricted to a computer and I am located outside the U.S.? This issue is incredibly frustrating, and I am concerned about my ability to access my funds.

Please provide immediate assistance and clarify if there are any known issues with SMS verification codes for international users. I need this resolved urgently.

The behavior and attitude of the employee were pathetic. There was no sense of professionalism.

There was a lack of communication and impaired language skills. The employee had limited knowledge of work responsibilities and was inefficient.

Additionally, there were system deficiencies within the app. There was no efficient way to contact customer support if the app malfunctioned.
